Amen to that. We operate 2 thermal energy plants on the UTSA campus, the original is over 35 years old, the newer one is only 2 years old. Guess which one is now having the most problems with equipment going FUBAR?

I told the plant manager there's a simple explanation for that - 35 years ago, they built the original plant to spec. 2 years ago, they built the new plant to cost.

What's scary is that he completely agreed with me.
