Question * Query!!! *

Mr. dynalow:

Just curious...

When a float (as in a parade) is heading down the street and it has the US and the State's flags on poles, fixed on the back end of the float, what side should the US Flag be on? The curb side or the street side of the float?

I've seen it argued that as you're looking at the back of the float, you'd want to see the US Flag on the curb, or right, side of the float.

Others have said that as the float is proceeding forward, as the flags are coming TOWARD you at that point, the US Flag should be on the street, or left, side of the float.

What say you, oh great Flag Knowledge Presenter?
