Perhaps. But a closer look at the neighborhood reflects that it has supported sales of homes nearing $1,000,000.00 in the past 10 years.
Recent sales of three to four hundred thousand dollar homes are not unusual sales for the neighborhood. "Where" a home is for sale, is usually more important, than "what" a home is.
If "uncles" home he's renting/living in hasn't sold - it is because of it's price. It is simply overpriced for what it is.
