did the 606 have the same issue with the timing gears that the 602 had? I doubt it, but it's worth inspecting. look at the thickness of the points on the cam timing gears. there is a spec on here about them but basically they should have good thick flats on each tooth, not sharp points. and the base of the teeth should fit snugly on each chain link, not have space for or aft of the links!
