I dont have the silent recall notice anymore, but 5 years ago when I went through it I recieved a copy from the MB dealership which directly said imported vehicles by US standards with use an insulation that can be heated to 900 buy torch or oven to allow copper to be reclaimed at salvage yards is directly responsible for the issue. You can say whatever you want but MB said the car was 3 years out of being under there TSB recall (which is why I am sure I paid so little for the car) and was made to fend for myself.
