Try kids throwing sticks at my dogs. Wife got that done to her. Dog got pissed. She and the dogs ran after them and cornered them. I made sure that they were returned to their parents alive, sans a few bits of skin they lost when they fell.

I understand that, some people won't or don't want to change. OTOH there are some that say, "You're right. I never thought of it that way and I'll take that (or those) words out of my vocabulary." (Or words to that effect.) I've had friends, employees and acquaintances say it only to have that "Oh $h!t" look in their eyes when the realization of what they had said hit. They had never had contact with anyone on the receiving end of that jab. And when they see my little guy, it puts a face on it. Which is why I feel the need to say something and get upset at myself when I don't.
