i had already pulled the secondary back off, and filled it with seafoam, and pumped the primer about a dozen times. oh, and i replaced the primer pump several months back so i know it's working. where's the bypass valve that i should be listening to ever so closely? i'll pump the primer a bunch bunch and see what i can hear!
