hey does anybody know how hard it is to replace the ip gear? im looking at buying a 93 300dt that needs the gear replaced, because the vacuum pump wont jump. the engine was replaced a few years ago and i guess they didnt put the gear on right. its a a friend of mines shop and he says you have to mess with the timming. he is a german auto repair shop. he dosent like messing with the ip timming, hasnt had good luck with it in the past. the cars got bout 200k on it and i think i can get it for bout $1200ish. is there any literature on here about replacing the gear and timming? or anybody in or around coulumbia, sc that knows how to do it, that would help me??
