forum,would anyone have a parts source for the injection pump used on the 603 engine?
the number on the pump is pes6m556320rs178.
heres my problem,i got a pump that seeps motor oil from the plate (6 screw holes) at the bottom of the ip oil sump. first went to diesel injection(lou ky)to order new gasket.the replacement gasket wasnt like the formed gasket from the origional. part number was rb1-410-206-029,its cut round with 2ea 90 deg sides.
second stop was at taffel motors in lou,epc showed the formed gasket,ordered,3 days later recieved the identical round cut gasket . mercedes part number is 0049974640.
so would anyone have a source for the origional formed rubber gasket to seal the ip oil pan?
i would take my hat off to anyone who could use the replacement with no leaks(while i have my hat off please run me thru the process)
