i would bet that there was a molded gasket to begin with,look at the picture in the parts break down.
ok i can remove and install the ip bottom plate in 45 minutes,ask me how? from practice,have had the thing off 5 times now,leaked all times i reinstalled,last time with a different bottom plate and a genuine mb seal.
guys i need help?would anyone have bought an extra that would measure for me to try and determine if i just got a bad batch? i think if it was thicker it would work,with the 6 screws bottomed out it will hold oil, but will leak when under running oil pressure. would anyone dare to look at the one they replaced and see if it seeps oil , mine seeps at the front of the plate.
i measure 2.88 mm x 105mm on one that i put in and removed and 2.9mm x 105mm on one still in the package new.
