Looks like you will be
very busy when the doors open. Fixing the myriad of brands, will guarantee that you'll have a full shop. I think I see an "assistant" in your future.
Re taking forever . . it was a late model MB, 2008 or so and he had repaired a failed front air-variable-shock. The Star program directed that he run a long series of tests which took quite awhile . . . . if I remember correctly. Yes, it did pass! Wouldn't mind having one myself but can't justify the cost.
One of the problems with that system . . . and any system w/ high number of pins contained on large interconnecting cables . . is the wear on the pins and interface connections resulting in ohmic connections to the Star machine. This produces test failures or system self-test difficulties.
It seem user friendly from what I've seen of it in operation.
