I have done this many times. It just takes time and patience and make sure you put the crank on 24 degrees BTDC before you pull the pump. Also mark on the top of the IP and block with a chesil and hammer, This way you will get the timing back right without have to reset it by using the drip method. This is the only way to replace that $ 3.00 gasket.
