Good and quick lowfat chicken recipe

This beats the pants out of El Pollo Loco. It's ALMOST FAT FREE and tastes great. All you need to do is marinade the chicken for about an hour before grilling. Masala is a powdered spice mix you can purchase at an Indian grocer. It should cost you at most $3 for 200 grams. There are many different kinds. Make sure you get the one without msg meant for Tandoori cooking.

Tandoori chicken. Serves 2.

Ingredients:

1 whole chicken cut into parts (about 3 1/2 lbs.)
2 Tablespoons Tandoori Chicken Masala
1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1 lime
1 cup low fat yogurt.

Remove skin from chicken. Make some slashes in the chicken pieces and place in large bowl. Sprinkle evenly with Tandoori spice and salt. Squeeze the juice out of the lime over the chicken. Add the yogurt and allow to marinate for about at least a half hour. An hour would be better. Grill until internal temperature reads 170 degrees F.

The yogurt protects the meat from getting burnt and imparts a great flavor when grilled. This is great served up with a simple green salad tossed with a little extra virgin olive oil and vinegar.
