The problem with the typical pads are the significant amount of dust produced. On the 124 and second gen 126, the 15 hole wheels tend to look like crap after just a 100 miles or so.

So, you're relegated to very frequent cleanings if you wish the vehicle to maintain decent looks.

Or, you can pay a bit more and get the Akebono pads which don't exhibit the dust generated from the Textars or the PBR pads.
