I would choose a 2000-2002 W210 because there are lots of them around and they are the last years of the 210 chassis so they have all the updates and refinements. If your budget allows a 2007+ W211 would be a solid choice, my selection being a diesel E320 Bluetec. Early 211s are quite problematic.
