I'm a bit baffled by the two forward mounting screws on the diff for the 1989 300SE. The screws pass through a lower rubber bushing, the diff itself, and an upper rubber bushing.

I see no nut above the upper rubber bushing and the EPC shows no nut.

Is the upper rubber bushing tapped to take the screw?

If not, what exactly is securing the screw? At the present time, the screw and the bushings rotate together...........and nothing is getting removed.

I cannot feel any nut above the bushing??
