I saw a thread somewhere (here I think) where someone had mounted a fan in the original shroud and it looked very neat so think I'll try that.

I'm still wondering about the shaft of the waterpump though - I've got the clutch off and the pulley, but I can't see whether there's a section of the shaft that can be removed to make it a bit shorter. Admittedly, this is only really so it looks a bit neater and has a little more room for the electric fan, but would like to do it if anyone knows if it'll work.
