Well if not the pain I understand the bind. Hope it passes soon. I also agree that there are both good and questionable uroligists.
The good ones like mine are horrifically busy these days. Either the percentage of the older population is now greater or cancer is on the increase. I suspect it is a combination of both.
I do not suggest alcholisim but if a few drinks after work ease the current difficulty even a little I think I might consider the relief. Thats if you can even drag yourself into work right now. With the doctors permission of course.
If I were a uroligist I would exchange my services for car services with a good mechanic.Even if it were for only a string of oil changes over time. Why not as I probably would have all the money my family will ever need or be able to use already.
Something has been lost in the medical equation when doctors operate under a system that is so punative to a person in serious pain. This is not a time or situation to delve into universal medical care either . It has it's flaws as well.
I too have experienced pain at levels that dominate everything. Like the time that I was in an explosion. The pain grew exponentially until I stated either you put me under or I will soon become unconciouis from it. I was becoming apprehensive I might not pass out at that point.
The mind tends to forget the severity of it over time after it is gone. All I really remember is that it was so bad I could no longer stand it. They did put me under.
Understanding extreme ongoing pain is kind of an abstract concept to individuals until you have had it yourself.
