My exact thoughts. I would wipe it clean and then inspect carefully where it is coming from.

I once had a leak at the vacuum modulator. Fluid was foaming out past the O-ring. I replaced the O-ring and all was fine after that.

While you are under there, check to see how the rubber sleeves are that hold the transmission fluid cooler lines up. If they are hard or missing, replace them. If they are missing, the bracket will eventually wear a hole in the line from vibration and will cause the steel line to leak. It does not sound like this is your problem right now.
