Engage cruise by pushing the stalk UP equivalent to indicating a right turn with the indicator stalk. Car will hold the speed at which it is set. Push stalk away from you towards dash to disconnect cruise control. Pull stalk towards you away from dash to resume previously set speed. When car is at a set speed using cruise another upwards push like a right hand turn indication will increase speed till you release at which point it will continue at the new higher speed. Pushing down on the stalk such as the equivalent of a left hand turn on the indicator column will reduce the speed of the vehicle until released when it will continued at a the new slower speed. And of course tapping the breaks will disengage the cruise control when in use.
