I would love to do the ortho install, but concerned about a factory look and finish. How did you mount the controls? Any pics? Its probably the one feature I wish I had. My prior car had a lumbar support mechanism. In fact I thought of maybe stealing a set from that type of car (Mark VIII) and fitting them into the Benz. Would only be single bladder, but would be nice. And the controls are tiny and easy to place.

So you're looking for what is inhibiting your memory function loss? According to the circuit diagram, if those relays and the diode in the fuse box are good, you probably have a faulty control box which is in the seat frame. If it isn't there, then it's missing! It should be clipped to the seat bottom frame.
My orthopedic set is a full factory set with 5 bladders with 5 pressure settings each. It has the factory controllers and vacuum set up, so the controls are mounted as in a factory set up. There's a holder that clips to the seat belt buckle. I'll take a pic soon, but you'll have to excuse the interior as I removed it to do a dash swap today
