First for a newby we usually ask your symptoms and try to be certain you really need to replace the head gasket. It is a lot of work.

there is of course no way that you could break the crankshaft by removing the head bolts in a particular order. There are two or three fasteners near the front area where the cam chain runs though that are hard to find and easily overlooked which can cause problems if left un removed.
