Is 1/2" drive small enough? Do you mean big enough? You're not going to find a 3/8" drive 27mm/1-1/16" socket anytime soon. I have no problem spinning the engine with a 12" ratchet and I'm not strong in any sense of the word. And yes, my engine has decent compression

Like I said, large enough. I just didn't know how much leverage I would need. Sounds like 1/2" will work fine.

Are you able to get the socket in there and on the bolt without removing the shroud? On the 602 it looks difficult.
