Not at all, the caustic would have soaked in to the space between the cast iron and the Al & stayed there after rinsing. The caustic would have just loosened the plug & the oil pressure would have removed it.
Some time put some caustic (drain cleaner) on some Al & watch it fizz, good ( I joke) way to eat Al up & make hydrogen !!!
Collect the gas & ignite it, make your ears ring !!
