I went to a seminar at one of the Carlisle Import show events ( coming in May) on Lucas electrical problems. The presenter made the observation that the wiring harness never fails--its always the connections, or splices usually poorly made by (always) previous owners.

My first test drive with a friend of a TR6 he was purchasing was an epic tale of Lucas failures--right down to the cloud of smoke the totally obscured his vision when I tried out the heater fan switch. " Don't touch that switch!"
