Yeah, Iam one of them that said Hot Glue will soften up in a closed up car on a hot summer day.

I used it and had the mirror assy fall out on a 100deg day. I used plenty of the glue to hold. now maybe in a cooler climate it is great.

I had the local glass shop give me a few squirts of the Urethane sealant they use to hold the mirror in. It is never coming out, and I never want it to.
