I always found Winter Park, the Mary Jane side in particular, to be a great place for people of differing abilities on skis. Lots of groomed cruisers with gladed out woods running right next to them.

The venue would be stunning. I'd be tempted to skip out of town and drive out there, but it's probably tough to find a place to stay at the last minutre.
We usually go to Vail, but will drive to Breckenridge, A-Basin etc. A-Basin is tough. A lot of really good local skiiers.
We don't smoke weed anymore. Last time we tried it was in Cambodia when it was sprinkled on a pizza. "Special Happy Pizza" on the Mekong River.
