Picked up a 1985 300td a couple weeks ago. Not quite in the cheap wagon club territory but pretty close.

One of my buddies told me about a wagon he has seen parked in a nearby carport and seems to have never been moved in recent months. Tall grass was growing around the edges of the car. Fast forward a few weeks after we first spoke about it, some confusion as to what street it is on and I finally find it.

I love knocking on someone's front door and asking about a diesel Mercedes sitting in their driveway and see the look on their face when I ask if it's possibly for sale . "gosh we were just talking about donating it for a tax write off". Perfect timing

Had to replace frozen front calipers, replace some filters, oil change, wash and wax and now she's my daily driver. It's very nice to be back in a wagon. I forgot how useful the cargo area is. Even has a trailer hitch
