OK For my W123 300D I need to

Build car port so I can weld in the dry!
Build English Wheel so I can get a decent smooth curve in the floor pan I'm making
Make up some hammer forms for the more intricate shapes
Make the floor pan section out of zincor
Make up some repair pieces and weld them into the front of the car on the firewall and front inner wings and a bit on the right hand bonnet spring pocket
Remove rear wings / fenders
Remove rear wheel arches
Either repair rear wheel arches or make up some new ones
Put in a new electric supply line so I can use that spot welder!
Weld in new / repaired wheel arches
Figure out what the heck I'm going to do with that little bit of irritating rust in the spare wheel well
Weld the rear wings / fenders back on (I've got a new one for the right hand side)
Cut out the old floor pan and weld in the new one
Cut out the sills on both sides and replace them
Remove the last bits of underseal
Straighten out the rear valance
Spot weld in new floor pieces in the boot
Probably make my own car rotisserie so I can work on the underside with ease
Seam sealer!
Spray the underside of the car in POR15 (or something like it) then a colour coat then a clear undercoat so I can see if the rust comes back
Strip off last year's new paint (I didn't get a clear coat on it in time so it is probably damp)
Repaint the car
Make up a new wiring loom

...

If I get this far by Christmas I'll be a happy man!

EDIT - fat chance
