We agree on all of this, apart from the modern crusade you want to get to.
I personally have no problems with the teachings of Islam, what I have a problem with is extremists from any religion, and Terry Jones is an extremist preaching a policy of hate and violence. He is no better than any Islamic extremist, they are all twisting the meaning of their religions.
