If it's a back door, you need to also unscrew the plastic trim on the top/back of the door over the triangle window. Then gently pull up and out on the door panel; it's held on by a few downward facing plastic tabs, and the top of the panel holds on to a metal lip running along the top of the door frame. Disclaimer; your vehicle may be the older type, in which case the panel may be held on a a series of plastic tension clips around the door panel; use a paint scraper or other similar tool and wedge it between the door frame and panel, starting on the bottom somewhere (because it's easiest). I think i may have explained myself wrong.It is the wood panel that the gear shifter,window switchers,mirror adjustment is.
