Yes, I had a setup out of the cig lighter for weeks. There is a new alternator, voltage regulator, and battery. Watched the voltage and never varied out of normal 13+-14
My suspicions that it is not ASR or ABS are because NO lamp lights when I am in limp home. The car is a federal car and has no CE light. The funny thing is that it has no ASR nomenclature silk screened in the instrument panel but does have the yellow triangle. The triangle works when I break the rear end loose so I know that that system is OK.
The car has the wheel speed sensors and the black box over the ABS unit. There is an ASR controller on the firewall, so I assume that I have ASR. There are a couple of retired Benz wrenches that I have shown the car to. Followed their suggestions but we have struck out.
