Alda delete, run tires at 40psi, egr delete, bowden set tight, all air deflector panels in place. No junk in the trunk. Willing to give up the highway mileage though as half of my trips are up and down hills. I try to go out of my way to take the highway as it useless otherwise.

Had the car for two years now, almost have it mechanicaly sorted out, the gearing has been bothering me for some time and it is coming up on tge to do list.

Here is your solution:

Slow to 110 Kph for hills. Drop the trans into 3rd gear. The engine will turn a comfortable 3500 rpm up the hill. At the top, shift up to 4th and accelerate to 120Kph.

Much less costly than changing the diff back to a 2.88 (which will probably drop the highway fuel economy).
