I didn't get mine from the dealer - I bought it for about the same price as you from a transmission re-builder - so I can't say for sure that the MB supplied part will be a 12 point nut...

...however, if it is you'll be scrabbling for your 32mm 12 point socket - then you'll need to go and order a deep 32mm 12 point socket 'cos a short one can't be driven with the output shaft sticking through the back end of the socket!
