As I just posted very recently in regard to a question on a 2-3 flare with a '95, my '95 has 393K on the original tranny. I do have a 2-3 flare, I have replaced the K-1, but it only firmed the shift itself and did not affect the flare.

Nonetheless, I have been driving for at least 100K with this flare. I back off between shifts, actually backing off the throttle causes the shift to occur, and I have no flaring when I do this. Someone else mentioned doing the same.

For info I'm running Amsoil synthetic, and due to my own dumbassedness I went a good 100K without a fluid change before putting in the Amsoil about 75K ago. Pan was perfectly clean when I changed it.

So I am a believer in the life of these trannys.
