I see it as a waste of money. The unit itself isn't weatherproof, so unless you have a weatherproof bag for it, it will be damaged. The speaker don't have an enclosure that I can see, and without one, bass and sound quality will surely suffer.

It reminds me of the speakers I mounted to my bicycle and then plugged to my Walkman when i was a kid.

All the systems I've had were weatherproof and installed in the faring. If I were you, I'd contact the founder, and see where the closest showing of the product will be, then go and check it out. It sounds too flaky to trust without a demo prior to purchase.
