the unit itself is not waterproof, but thats ok as it is gonna be mounted in one of my hard bags. the speakers are weatherproof and from everything i have seen/ read are supposed to provide pretty quality sound. bass is to be expected almost non existent on a motorcycle. i was hoping to find someone with first had experience. ear buds are what im trying to avoid.
