If by reasonable price you mean five or six hundred bucks, buy it and drive it until it quits, then walk away, it sounds like a plan. I would never put any real money or effort into an Audi. The ones I've been under the hood of were not mechanic friendly at all, and they don't offer any better driving experience than Mercedes or BMW.
