If I recall right, the ML has an antenna that runs inside the glass. The security lamination is thick and the tint film may contain tid bits of metal in it, which interfere w/ the FM reception. In short: your tint and lamination causes your FM reception to die. What do do? remove the tint and film, but I doubt you wanna do that.

Maybe try to see if you can get the antenna rerouted into a different one where the reception wouldn't get cut off.
