When doing this I always drill out the pin from the regulator and then use a nut and bolt to hold the new slider in. Its better in the future just in case the plastic breaks again, at least it will be easier to R&R the slider and such. Hope you cleaned and lubricated the area where the plastic slides on the bottom of the window..
