On my 86 300SL I just got I wanted to detail the engine. It's an in line six with a long valve cover. I was thinking of having it powder coated as opposed to chromed for money reasons or should I just paint it? Now it's kind of a satin black but not real smooth. If I powder coat it I was thinking silver or should I just have it polished after removing the old paint? I'm going to have the air cleaner cover powder coated black. Any suggestions will be appreciated.Greg.
