With the fuse removed / blown, see if anything else is not working. ESPECIALLY a do-it-yourself radio/stereo, navigation, amplifier, etc. Sometimes people connect add-on electronics to any old circuit!
And look in your owner's manual and/or any printed information on the fuse box or fuse box cover [inside?] which says what all is on each circuit.
When checking, also be sure to place it in reverse and see if the white back-up lights still come on in the rear of the vehicle.
Other than that, follow where that wire goes and check for shorts to ground. Something could be pressing that wire up tight against a sharp piece of metal.
