I have a very heavy plastic pressurized overflow tank+ rad cap on the 1986 G30 6.2L diesel. It cracked and I bought a new one. I would like to save the old one by repairing it along the seam where it cracked.

Anyone have any experience with a plastic welder?

A guy on another forum said it worked for him but gave no details.
