If the pedal is good I'd suspect the linkage. Are you handy? can you take of the air cleaner and lube the throttle linkage? Try moving the linkage by hand. I would avoid a silicone based product since some say it can get sucked into the air intake and ruin your O2 sensor.

While you are there, gently wipe the air mass sensor with a clean soft cloth, it helps.
