Help identify this center seat adapter

I acquired several seat cushions that go between the front seats of 1960s / 1970s Mercedes cars. My understanding is often these cushions are used as a third front row seat and the fold-down center armrests serve as the backrest for this center seat. I have also seen these referred to as "seat adapters".

Here is one that I can't identify, particularly because of the unusual mounting on the bottom. The dimensions of the metal bottom pan are 18" long and 6 1/2" wide at the narrow end and 7 1/2" wide at the wide end.

Does someone know what this goes to?

thanks
Scott
