That's another issue. There's nothing more frustrating than taking something apart thinking you have all the right parts and tools, and it turns out something doesn't fit, you need an odd ball tool, et cet. That's why my threads on repairs or mods are so long before I get to squeeze the trigger ... lol since I like to start and finish in a day if possible.

Hopefully someone with a Getrag 717.400 five speed has been down this road before and can opine on what's needed, issues, et cet.
