But I bet someone replaced the AC hoses on his car with something longer and after market. I have not come across a W123 with the AC Hoses running under the Blower.

Diesel911 shows a good picture of the Blower and the location of the Expansion valve and hose.

To remove the Blower, you need to remove the cover above the Passenger`s legs or below the Glove Box. Carefully remove the 3 plastic covers, and under them are 3 screws, then the panel will drop down. There are one each grey plastic screw on each side. Give it a 1/2 turn, then pull them out. Then wiggle the panel out.

Unplug the electric plug, one Phillips screw and then with a 8mm socket, remove the 3 screws and the Blower will drop down and out.
