I have walked down the reman axle path on another japanese origin car, I was not entertained by the fact that a reman axle with completely sealed boot was clicking after 5,000 miles and I had to wrestle it out again.
Yes, its a camry, more like an appliance rather than a car, I drive to appreciate my benz more - driving the benz after a week of driving the camry makes you realize what quality driving is about.
however I have took out the axle, and removed the outer cv to check it (its shot but I measured it), I am going to buy the outer kit from amazon, matched with dimension and design. Its a car built on a the 1997-2001 camry/celica/gracia - so uses the camry hubs.
36 bucks - not bad IMO. This way I get to use the genuine shaft and inner tulip driver that fits to the transaxle.
