I'm getting the feeling this later version is different from the earlier ones...

...the version I have is LM 0008 (on the Bosch label).

The stop seems to come into play when or if the air flow plate gets sucked upwards! The internal stop then reacts against a spring which would force the air flow plate rather firmly back down again.

(I've found loads of stuff on the internet about the different Bosch CIS air metering systems but so far I haven't found the correct data for what I've got. I'm pretty sure the instructions in the W201 aren't right for the part I have)
