If those pliers apply to all those engines, they aren't likely to help your oddball little clip. Is the clip in the connector, or wrapped around the outside? If it fit's outside, standard pliers with the jaw relief aligned with the brass, might 'crush' the clip top to bottom and spread it enough to release the glow plug.
